How good is an electronic drum set to start with?

If I start out with an electronic set, will it affect me much when I move to a real set and will it overall feel the same as a normal drum set?

if you get an electronic drum set it will be harder to switch over if you use double bass drum pedals because you ged more response from the kick pad. If i were you i would go ahead and get an electric kit because you dont have to tune them or buy heads and you will break sticks less often and after you have learned then swicth to reagular drums when you get the money and get good enough to invest in some good equipment

i would go for a simon kit with a small bass amp

if you want an acoustic kit go down to your local music store and ask them to help you out

  • Hi:

a elctronic drum set doesn’t really give you the feel of of a regular drum set, especially if you try imagine playing regular drums when you close your eyes. im sure you can find a regular drum set at a low price.

i ain’t a fan of them. You don’t get the same feel out of them as a real kit. Especially for you first set look into an acoustic set
