    Pearl Vision VBX Ruby Fade

    This is one of my new student’s brand new Ruby Fade Pearl VBX. The finish is gorgeous and 100% birch shells give it amazing tone and attack, especially the kick drum. I love the Sensitone Snare series too, great choice Pearl made in equipping them in the stock package. I think you’ll find this kit sounding very similar to the BRX I used to own, thats because this is the real deal, 100% birch shells for 0, incredible. Mike also got a Sabian AA 14″ Rock Hi-hat, a Sabian AAX 18″ Dark Crash, and a Sabian AA 20″ Rock Ride.

    Hey Brittany – Forever The Sickest Kids drum cover

    This is my drum cover of hey brittany by Forever the sickest kids. Lemme know what you guys think! I fixed my setup. I got new remo heads, tuned everything up with a drum dial, and got a new pair of hi-hats and a new ride. they are very shiny!!! :D My current drum set up – cymbals from left to right – Zildjian A Custom Mastersound 14in hi-hat pair. Sabian AAX 14 in studio crash Paiste alpha rock 22in ride Heads – Remo ambassador CB bass drum heads (being replaced soon) toms/bass- 14in CB snare 12in CB tom 13in CB tom 16in CB tom 22in CB bass

    Solo on my newly restored Vintage Ludwig Drum Kit

    I just finished restoring this Ludwig kit. I am taking it out for a test run here. Still tweaking the tensioning. All in all, it turned out nice. The specs: 22×14 bass 12×8, 13×9, 16×16 DW snare 14 Sabian HH proto hats 18 Sabian HH proto crash ride 16 Zildjian K Constantinople crash 21 Sabian HH Vintage ride I chose a Marine Pearl finish from JamminSams. Evens G2 coated on tops and Resonant on the bottoms. Bass is a combination of EQ4 clear and coated. Snare is Evans Powercenter with a very loose tension on head and snare. This is not a “solo” performance, as in “a show”. It’s a “solo” because there are no other instruments. I’m just checking out the sound of the kit. Chime in on the sound comments. Let me know what you think. I like the deep resonant sound of the toms. The kick will be louder when I turn the beater around to the hard side.
